Council on the Arts and
The Second Chance Players Present:
12
Angry Jurors
The story
takes place in a jury room where the jurors must decide the fate of
a young man accused of murdering his father. All the evidence
points toward him, or does it? One juror stands alone in his belief
the young man might be not guilty and sets out to prove that there
is "reasonable doubt. Of course tempers grow short, arguments get
heated, and most of the jurors just want to go home. You will be on
the edge of your seat waiting to see if juror #8 can change their
minds. The show is directed by longtime community theater
personality, Charles L. Bandler.

Run for Your Wife
The story of London cab
driver John Smith, with two wives, two lives and a
very precise schedule for juggling them both. With
one wife at home in Streatham and another at home in
Wimbledon, and with occupants of the flat upstairs
at the latter location. Trouble brews when
Smith is mugged and ends up in hospital, where both
of his addresses surface, causing both the Streatham
and Wimbledon police to investigate. Having upset
his schedule, Smith becomes hopelessly entangled in
his attempts with his lazy layabout neighbor
upstairs in Wimbledon, to explain himself to his
wives and two suspicious police officers.

All My
Sons
All My Sons is a 1947
play by Arthur Miller and is based upon a true
story, which Miller's then mother-in-law pointed out
in an Ohio newspaper. The story described how a
child informed on her father who had sold faulty
parts to the U.S. military during World War II.
Asked in a TV interview what about the story had
inspired him, Arthur Miller said, "I was fascinated
by the idea that a child could have this kind of
moral courage." When asked why he changed the gender
of the character for his play, Miller said, "At the
time I didn't understand women very well."
