GRANT WRITING SEMINAR AT LINDENHURST MEMORIAL LIBRARY

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2007 10 TO 12 NOON An application workshop will be offered at the library that will provide applicants with step by step grant writing instructions, and a general overview of the grant opportunity. All new applicants are required to attend a workshop to be eligible to apply. The application deadline is October 5, 2007. Applications are available at the seminar or on the HAC website www.huntingtonarts.org. Assistance
Offering networking opportunities and technical assistance to artists, such as grant writing, copywriting and publicity.

Benefits
Providing artists with access to an artist registry and an artist's reference library for research.

Education
Coordinating educational programs, including writer's space and fine arts workshops for all ages.

Publications
Bacca publishes a bimonthly newsletter with feature articles and updates on upcoming arts and cultural events, performances and presentations.

   

Scholarships
Through the bacca Trustee Memorial Scholarship for the Arts and the Paumanauke Pow Wow Native American Scholarship, bacca provides scholarships for Native Americans, songwriters, and arts studies.

Consultations
The staff provide consulting services for the start up of new arts organizations, community festivals and general fundraising for individual artists.

Youth Services
Fine arts classes for children and children's shows encourage exploration of the arts at a young age.
